Well first of all, my friend Pete Jones wafted Bear Blog under my nose and I was quite taken with it's simplicity and ease-of-use (I'm generally okay with most technical things, but I spend all day dealing with tech-issues in my job and don't want to do it at home as well); I'd also been considering pruning my old blog for a while to clean it up a little bit and remove some of the bloat on it.

What finally clinched it though was when I sent through a cancel request to my old blog provider due to lack of tech support, I later worked out the issue and asked them to ignore/cancel the request only for them to suddenly cancel my account after weeks of doing nothing. I could rant and rave about it, but I decided that I'd instead see it as an opportunity to redo the blog and make it a bit more simple. I've not worked out how to transfer my old domain yet, but I'm sure I'll figure it out in time.

I've now managed to transfer the domain http://www.reddicediaries.com to re-direct to this blog, it's not a perfect solution but it does mean that I can now just focus on this blog (without worrying about Wordpress or any of that stuff) knowing that both http://www.reddicediaries.co.uk and http://www.reddicediaries.com will redirect to this site 👍
